After graduating from OCS in 1943, Captain Irvin M. Roth took command of Company "I", 114th Regiment, 44th Infantry Division.  In spite of a serious wound, Captain Roth served in this capacity to the end of the war.   He and the soldiers of Company "I" served with distinction.   Their Captain is admired and deeply respected by Company "I" veterans.

Irvin Roth is an accomplished photographer.  His camera joined him in the conflict.   Many of his personal photographs became part of the 44th Infantry Division battle history -  "Mission Accomplished."  Captain Roth gave his permission to publish the following photographs, scanned from his cherished family picture albums.

Captain Roth, you are a blessing.  Thank you.
